i know, i know… acid wash jeans.  they’re right up there with over-sprayed, poofy bangs and fanny packs.  but honestly, i’ve never met a 90’s trend that my older (obviously not wiser self) didn’t want to re-try.  for example, today i’m wearing pants that give me major mom butt.  tomorrow?  i may show up with crimped hair.

to be honest, these pants were a very unnecessary purchase.  they were on mega sale at the gap for like, $15 and i couldn’t resist.  i don’t need acid wash jeans.  does anyone?  but i thought it would be a fun addition to my wardrobe.  what i didn’t count on was how difficult it would be to style these things!  white didn’t look good, grey looked a bit odd and hot pink was almost too literal – acid wash and neon?  how saved by the bell of me.

so here we are.  black.  it’s usually a safe bet.

in hindsight, if i were to make a legit, premeditated acid wash purchase, i would choose a darker wash.  i imagine it’s easier to style.

top – jcp (similar) / jeans – gap (similar) / booties – steve madden via nordstrom / hat – local boutique / necklaces – gage huntley

i’d like to apologize in advance – you will be seeing these booties a lot.
